Getting PAY right is always tricky business but in this unique economy what do you need to know?  In this presentation we will cover the reasons behind the craziness in compensation and address what the trends tell us is in store for 2025. We’ll cover Philosophy – how to craft a compensation philosophy that helps you attract, motivate and retain great talent; Pay Levels – how to ensure that you are paying competitively in YOUR market for talent; and Plan Design – how to make sure that your short- and long-term incentive plan designs DRIVE organizational performance.  Make no mistake, the economy notwithstanding, you still need to pay attention to pay!  Rena uses real examples from clients to showcase the critical decision-making that goes into formulating, benchmarking and designing great compensation packages.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Rena Somersan is a Managing Principal with Newport Group. She has

over twenty five years of consulting and industry experience assisting

clients in executing their strategic human resources and compensation initiatives. Her focus has been in the areas of workforce and executive compensation, performance management initiatives, leadership development, talent motivation and retention.

• President of the Milwaukee Area Compensation Association (2018– 2019 and 2019-2020 terms)
• President of Metro Milwaukee chapter of SHRM (2014–2015 term), total of 8 years of Board service
• Founding Board Member of the Istanbul chapter of the International Business & Professional Women’s Association
• MBA from Koc University, Bachelors of Science degree from the UW-Madison in Economics
